Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks Full-time Flex Houseparents to reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, and supervision for groups of 8–13 students. The role starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential placement into a fixed home later.

You will oversee daily routines, mentorship, and activities, while adhering to campus policies. A two-person married couple, 27+, with a high school diploma or GED, is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to student success and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan engaging developmental and recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
