Milton Hershey School seeks two houseparents to live on campus in Hershey, PA, caring for a group of students in a family-style home. The role involves supervision, scheduling, transportation, and weekly devotions, with a focus on safety and student well-being.

Applicants must be a legally married couple for at least two years, both at least 27, and prepared for a demanding but rewarding lifestyle that includes a nine-on/three-off duty cycle and housing.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and support student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
• Initially support various student homes on a fixed nine-on/three-off schedule.
• Transition to a placed houseparent role with a consistent group of students.
