Job summary

SHELTER, Inc. Concord, CA seeks a Live-In House Leader for a part-time, on-site position. The role requires living on site in a shared bedroom and offers $17.41 per hour with a free bedroom on site.

Responsibilities include enforcing house rules, addressing emergencies, assisting with move-ins/outs, coordinating with social workers, and maintaining safety and documentation. Background checks and TB clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years community based social services experience or related work.
• Ability to reside in a shared living environment to support residents.
• Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Maintain knowledge of fire, safety and health standards.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team and handle crises calmly.

Responsibilities

• Enforces house rules, policies and safety protocols.
• Manage overnight concerns and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Assist with moving furniture and housewares for move-ins/outs.
• Conduct regular checks for safety, security and cleanliness.
• Interact professionally with residents; de-escalate conflicts.
• Collaborate with social workers and case managers on resident issues.
• Complete daily logs, incident reports and related documentation.
