Job summary

University of Mount Saint Vincent invites applications for a Graduate Assistant in Bridge Residence Life. The GA will live on campus and work with the Assistant Director for Student Life, planning events, mentoring student leaders, and supporting department programs throughout the academic year.

The position requires evening/weekend availability and a 10-month term, averaging 20–23 hours weekly. A Bachelor's degree is required, with current enrollment in a graduate program and a valid driver’s

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current enrollment in a graduate degree program at the University of Mount Saint Vincent.
• Ability and willingness to reside in on-campus housing for duration of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Assistant Director for Student Life with planning and facilitating student programs, events, workshops, and community-building activities.
• Support training and supervision of Residential Coaches, including check-ins and participation in selection.
• Provide guidance to students on academic, interpersonal, behavioral, and personal concerns and refer to resources as needed.
• Facilitate roommate and suitemate agreements and assist with conflict resolution and mediation.
• Educate students on University policies and residential expectations.
• Participate in on-duty rotations and respond to emergencies per University procedures.
• Attend supervisory and BRIDGE Program meetings and support student leaders in community programming.
