Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is hiring married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents to live in on-campus homes and guide groups of 8–13 students. You will supervise daily routines, transport students to activities, and support their academic and emotional development in a structured family-like setting.

Two spouses must be married for at least two years and be 27 or older, with a valid U.S. driver’s license and willingness to obtain van certification.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pets allowed: fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff as role models.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and engaging in development and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel activities.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
• Supporting multiple student homes on a nine-on / three-off schedule initially.
