Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) in Hershey, PA, seeks married couple Flex Houseparents to live in on-campus student homes and provide care for 8–13 students. The role includes supervision, schedules, and devotions, with placement into a fixed home over time.

The position is full-time, with competitive compensation including housing and benefits; couples must meet residency and age requirements and complete separate applications.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses aged 27+.
• No more than three dependent children in the home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to be certified to drive student vans.
• Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan developmental and recreational events.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
