Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) seeks a married couple to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, supervision, and support for 8–13 students, promoting academic, emotional, and social development in a structured, family-like setting.

Position involves nine days on duty followed by three days off, with progression to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students.

Qualifications

• Experience with youth in educational or caregiving settings.
• Ability to mentor and supervise children in a structured home environment.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license required and willingness to drive students.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus and to upholding school standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to a group of students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and participate in developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
