Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus homes, guiding 8–13 students with supervision, devotions, activities, and budgeting duties.

Role begins with multiple homes, then transitions to a dedicated student home. Two-spouse requirement, 27+ years each, and adherence to campus rules are essential for a rewarding, service-driven career.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
• Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
• Flex Houseparents support various homes with nine days on / three days off
• Weekdays have unscheduled time while students are in school
• Transition to Placed Houseparent living with the same group
• Commitment to a unique, challenging career and life choice
• Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
