Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks Full-time Flex Houseparents—a two-person, married couple role delivering care, guidance, and supervision to a group of 8–13 students in on-campus homes.

You will manage daily routines, supervise student activities, lead devotions, and coordinate transportation, meals, and budgeting, with a nine-on, three-off schedule and progression toward a placed houseparent position.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-year married couple required.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed.
• Valid U.S. drivers license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Ability to lead devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (no proselytizing).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
