Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) is seeking Full-time Flex Houseparents to reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of 8-13 students. The role is designed for married couples who will live together on campus and work together to create a structured, family-like environment that supports students’ growth.

The position includes on-campus housing, meals while on duty, comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, and paid training.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
