Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples live in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of 8–13 students.

The role includes daily supervision, managing routines, administering medications, transporting students, leading devotions, budgeting, and progression to a Placed Houseparent with a stable student home assignment.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Couples married for at least two years.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one approved dog.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning/developing activities.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel with students.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
• Supporting various student homes on a rotating nine-on/three-off schedule.
• Transitioning to a fixed student home as a Placed Houseparent.
