Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8-13 students, fostering a structured, family-like environment for academic, emotional, and social development.

Responsibilities include supervision, routines, medications, transportation, activities, devotions, chapel, budgeting, and reporting.

Qualifications

Experience working or volunteering with youth.
Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed.
Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students.
Manage household routines and student schedules.
Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
Drive students to activities and plan/develop developmental and recreational activities.
Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
