Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students.

The role begins with a nine-day-on, three-day-off cycle and may transition to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group. Responsibilities include daily supervision, routines, wellness, transportation to activities, devotions, budgeting, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning development and recreational events.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
• Initially supporting various student homes on a 9-on/3-off schedule; later transitioning to a Placed Houseparent with a single group.
• Maintaining a safe, nurturing home environment for 8–13 students.
