Job summary

UW-Stevens Point is seeking a Teaching Assistant for the English for College program. The TA will live in the residence hall with ~16 high school students learning English as a second language and support the Lead Teacher during instructional time.

Responsibilities include facilitating discussions, leading study time, and helping supervise activities after class. Requires evenings/weekends and prior planning meetings with the lead teacher.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with instructional support during class hours, Monday–Friday 8:30–2:00.
• Lead small study time and help students complete homework and projects.
• Support supervision during residential activities and coordinate with mentors.
• Model professional conduct and help maintain a structured, inclusive living–learning environment.
