Job summary

Milton Hershey School is seeking Full-time Flex Houseparents who will reside in on-campus student homes to provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for groups of 8–13 students. The role starts with nine days on duty followed by three days off, with transition to a placed houseparent in a dedicated home.

Compensation includes $46,917 per person annually, plus free housing, meals on duty, utilities, and comprehensive benefits. Relocation support and paid training are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs and obtain driver certification for driving student vans.
• Must be able to lead students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational events.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
