Job summary

Milton Hershey School seeks full-time Flex Houseparents—a two-person, married couple team—on our Hershey, PA campus. You will supervise and mentor groups of 8–13 students in on-campus homes, manage daily routines, and accompany students to activities and Sunday Chapel.

Couples must be married for at least two years, both aged 27+, and able to lift 50 lbs. Relocation and training are provided; housing included.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Proselytizing prohibited during chapels and activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
