Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is seeking Full-time Flex Houseparents for a married couple. The role involves living on campus with students, providing care, mentorship, and supervision for a group of 8–13 youths, and coordinating daily routines and activities.

Couples must be legally married for at least two years and both spouses should be 27 or older. Responsibilities include devotions, transportation, budgeting, and ensuring student wellness.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-spouse role; couples married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty.
• Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship for a group of 8–13 students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and participate in developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
