Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. The role places couples in on-campus student homes to guide 8–13 students, fostering academic, emotional, and social growth within a family-like setting.

Houseparents follow a nine-on, three-off schedule, with transition to a Placed Houseparent role over time. Benefits include salary per person, housing and meals on duty, and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-spouse couple requirement and married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and participate in developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
