Milton Hershey School (MHS) in Hershey, PA, seeks a married couple for a full-time Flex Houseparent role in on-campus student homes. The position involves supervising 8–13 students, guiding their academic, emotional, and social growth, and coordinating daily routines with a family-like home environment.

The role requires both spouses to be married at least two years, aged 27+, with a high school diploma or GED and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Training and relocation support are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person couple role with marriages of at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet restrictions: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning development and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel participation.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
