Job summary

Milton Hershey School is seeking married couples to join as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples live in on-campus student homes, providing care, guidance, and supervision for a group of 8–13 students to support academic, emotional, and social development.

Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing routines, medication administration, driving to activities, and organizing development and recreational engagements.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty.
• Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed.
• Valid U.S. drivers license and ability to certify to drive student home vans.
• Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Chapel services.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and engaging in development and recreation.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
