Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is seeking Full-time Flex Houseparents. Married couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for about 8–13 students.

The role emphasizes a family-like environment to foster academic, emotional, and social development. Responsibilities include daily supervision, routines, medication administration, driving to activities, leading devotions, and budgeting.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Ability to obtain certification to drive student home vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
