Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks Full-time Flex Houseparents to live in on-campus homes and provide care, guidance, and supervision for 8–13 students. The role begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, then transitions to a stable home with the same group of students.

Couples must be legally married for at least two years, both aged 27+, and able to lift 50 lbs. Benefits include housing, meals on duty, and comprehensive coverage.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational events.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
• Support initially in multiple homes on a nine-on, three-off schedule.
