Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus homes, supervise a group of 8–13 students, and support student development with daily routines, devotions, and activities.

The role starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to a placed houseparent role. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, relocation assistance, training, and time off.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
• Supporting various student homes initially with a nine-on/three-off schedule, then transitioning to a placed home.
• Completing individual employment applications for consideration.
