Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks married couples for Full-time Flex Houseparent roles. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, providing care and mentorship to about 8–13 students, with a structured, family-like environment that supports academic, emotional, and social growth.

The position includes living on campus, a clear nine-on/three-off schedule initially, and progression to a placed houseparent role with ongoing duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-year marriage minimum for couples applying.
• Spouses must be at least 27 years old.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Campus is smoke-free and weapon-free; no alcohol while on duty.
• Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive and plan developmental and recreational activities for students.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
