Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks two married couples for full-time Flex Houseparent roles. Couples reside in on-campus homes, providing care, guidance, supervision and support for about 8–13 students, fostering academic, emotional and social growth.

The positions begin with nine days on duty followed by three days off, with opportunities to transition to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students. Comprehensive benefits and compensation accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be 27 years or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
