Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for about 8-13 students.

The role features nine days on, three off, with transition to placed houseparent. Benefits include salary per person $46,917, comprehensive medical/dental/vision, retirement plans, relocation and training.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Couples must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Engage in developmental and recreational activities with students.
• Lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
