Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) in Hershey, PA seeks full-time Flex Houseparents—a two-person married couple—to live in on-campus homes and mentor 8–13 students. You will supervise daily routines, support academics and social development, and drive students to activities.

Ideal candidates are a married couple age 27 or older, with a high school diploma or GED, and a willingness to obtain driver certification. The role includes a structured schedule and progression to a Placed Houseparent position.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person couple must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Must be willing to obtain vehicle driving certification.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan developmental/recreational events.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
