Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) in Hershey, PA, seeks Full-time Flex Houseparents (couples) to reside in on-campus homes and mentor 8–13 students daily, guiding academics, emotions and social growth. The role evolves from initial multi-home duties to a single, long-term student home assignment.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person couple role for married couples.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning development and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
• Initially supporting various student homes on a nine-on, three-off schedule, then transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role.
