Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) in Hershey, PA, seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. They live in on-campus student homes and mentor a group of 8–13 students, helping with daily routines, wellness, transportation, and devotions.

The role begins with nine days on duty followed by three days off, with progression to a Placed Houseparent living with the same students. Benefits include salary per person, comprehensive medical, retirement, relocation assistance, and paid

Qualifications

Experience working or volunteering with youth.
Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students.
Manage household routines and student schedules.
Administer medications and oversee student wellness.
Drive students to activities and engage in developmental/recreational activities.
Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
