Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks Full-time Flex Houseparents to live in on-campus student homes and supervise a group of 8–13 students. The role supports daily routines, activities, devotions, and Chapel participation, with a focus on student development.

Two spouses, legally married for at least two years and both at least 27 years old, will share duties, including care, guidance, and supervision, while complying with campus rules and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning development and recreational activities
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
