Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) in Hershey, PA, is hiring married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents to care for 8-13 students in on-campus homes. The role combines supervision, mentorship, scheduling, and family-like leadership to support students' academic, emotional, and social growth.

Two-person teams living on campus provide daily supervision, devotions, and transportation, with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule and potential transition to a placed houseparent role.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• Ability to drive student vans with certification.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan developmental and recreational events.
• Lead daily devotions and attend Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
