Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is seeking a married couple to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. They will live in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, and supervision for ~8–13 students, fostering academic, emotional, and social development.

The role begins with nine consecutive days on duty, then three days off, and may transition to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person and comprehensive coverage.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth
• Two years married minimum
• Both spouses age 27 or older
• No more than three dependent children in the home
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
• Pets allowed: fish and one dog of approved breeds
• Valid U.S. driver's license and van-driving certification
• Comfort leading devotions and Sunday Chapel; no proselytizing
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning development/recreational activities
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
