Job summary

Milton Hershey School is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, supervising a group of 8-13 students with a 9 days on / 3 days off schedule. After onboarding, they may transition into a Placed Houseparent role with a stable student home.

Responsibilities include daily supervision, planning activities, devotions, and budgeting oversight. Benefits and relocation support are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in developmental and recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
