Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus homes, provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of 8-13 students, creating a family-like environment that supports academic, emotional, and social development.

The role features a nine-on, three-off schedule at start, with progression to a placed houseparent.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for married couples.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning development and recreation
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
