Aurora Community Services seeks a Live-In Caregiver/Direct Support Professional in Parker, CO. Earn $19/hr with free rent, paid training, and a chance to help adults with disabilities live more independent lives.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid driver's license and driving record for transporting clients
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
• Basic reading, writing and internet navigation skills
• Experience working with adults with disabilities preferred
• Flexible scheduling with every other weekend off
• Overnight live-in shifts with paid on-call only when awake

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Seek out opportunities for community/social integration
• Help consumers plan and prepare their choices of fun events and outings
• Assisting with self care- dressing, bathing or showering, brushing teeth, toileting, shaving
• Medication Administration
• Meal Preparation/Planning
• Transportation of consumers
• Follow individual service plansOther duties as assigned

Live - In Requiremints:

• You'll be required to sleep overnight on site
• Overnights are on-call only - you're not paid unless you're woken up to assist a resident
• Must be able to respond to emergencies or resident needs if they come up overnight
• Additional paid shifts available during the day or evening, either at this house or other homes we operate

Essential Functions/Requirements:

• 18 years of age
• Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record for consumer transport
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to twist, turn, squat, bend, reach, pull, push from high/low position, raise arms above shoulder, walk, sit (chair and floor), climb stairs, and use hands and fingers
• Communicate basic English
• Basic reading, writing, and internet navigation skills
• Experience with adults with disabilities
