Job summary

Guardian Angel Senior Services seeks compassionate Live-In Caregivers to support elderly and disabled clients in their own homes across Massachusetts. If you are a dependable CNA or HHA, you’ll provide daily living assistance and companionship with safety and dignity at the forefront.

You will handle personal care, mobility, medication reminders, meals, light housekeeping, and timely transportation while upholding health standards and client comfort around the clock.

Qualifications

• Current HHA, or CNA certification.
• Experience caring for elderly or disabled individuals.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• COVID-19 vaccination required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily living assistance with bathing, dressing, personal hygiene.
• Assist with mobility and prescribed exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and oversight.
• Offer companionship and meaningful activities.
• Prepare meals and snacks; assist with grocery shopping.
• Light housekeeping and homemaking.
• Transport to appointments and activities.

What You'll Do

As a Live-In Caregiver, you will support your client with daily activities while providing companionship, safety, and a caring presence. Responsibilities may include:

• Personal care, including bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene
• Assistance with mobility and prescribed range-of-motion exercises
• Medication reminders and oversight
• Companionship, conversation, and meaningful activities
• Meal and snack preparation
• Grocery shopping and household errands
• Transportation to appointments and other activities
• Light housekeeping and homemaking
• Dementia and Alzheimer's care
• Hospice care
• Responding appropriately and promptly in emergency situations
• Supporting the client's overall comfort, safety, and well-being

Live-In Schedule

Live-In Caregivers remain in the client's home for the entire scheduled assignment. Assignments may range from 3 to 30 consecutive days, with the same schedule typically repeating each week.

Each 24-hour Period Is Generally Divided Into

• 13 hours allotted for providing care
• 8 hours allotted for sleep
• 3 hours allotted for personal time and breaks

Please note: You are expected to remain at the client's home throughout the scheduled 24-hour period, including sleep and personal-time hours.

What We're Looking For

• Current HHA, or CNA certification
• Experience caring for elderly or disabled individuals
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Compassionate, respectful, and dependable attitude
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and responsibly in a client's home
