Job summary

Project Renewal seeks a live-in Building Manager for Willow Tree Residence in East Midtown Manhattan. You will oversee custodial staff, coordinate repairs, and ensure a safe, clean, and code‑compliant facility for residents and staff.

Reporting to the Program Director, you will manage preventive maintenance, coordinate external vendors, and respond to emergencies 24/7. The role requires hands-on leadership across 14 floors, with a focus on timely unit turnover and adherence to inspections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years in building maintenance or management, including supervising staff.
• Associate’s degree with 5+ years in maintenance supervision.
• High School Diploma with 6+ years in maintenance supervision.
• Bilingual or multilingual a plus; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise custodial staff and facilities team to perform daily tasks.
• Provide on-site training to custodial staff for required tasks.
• Handle small repairs in tenant units and maintain exterior cleanliness.
• Coordinate work with external vendors for capital projects and repairs.
• Ensure boiler operations function properly and inspections are recorded.
• Respond to emergencies 24/7/365 and manage supplies and inventory.
