Job summary

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College seeks an entry-level, full-time, 9.5-month live-in Assistant Baseball Coach/Housing Assistant. The incumbent will support student-athletes in residence halls and collaborate with the Athletics and Residence Life teams.

The role combines on-field coaching with housing responsibilities, including enrollment in compliance, mentoring, and program development, while ensuring safety and community standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• Collegiate baseball coaching or playing experience.
• Demonstrated experience in the use of computers and related software.
• A record of compliance with collegiate baseball rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist head baseball coach with on-the-field coaching at practices and games.
• Recruit student-athletes in-state and out-of-state.
• Prepare travel requests for away games and organize a camp for fundraising.
• Oversee housing responsibilities and coordinate residence-life duties for student-athletes.
• Maintain housing records and assist in room changes with Residence Life.
• Attend meetings and support program operations as directed.
