Job summary

Bachoco USA is hiring for a Live Hanger in the Heavener, OK area. The role operates Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM to 11:30 PM, on the 2nd shift, and includes shift premiums and attendance incentives.

You will help in processing poultry, ensuring humane handling and keeping the work area safe and clean. Benefits include 401K, medical, dental, vision, paid holidays, vacation after 90 days, and personal days after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Set-up/tear-down workstation & line as required.
• Receives chickens before entering the production area.
• Hangs live birds in the shackles in a humane manner.
• Rotate in position cycle as instructed.
• Sorts out DOA’s (Dead on Arrival’s) and leaves on belt.
• Understanding of Animal Welfare and regulatory requirements.
• Must stand for long periods and regularly lift 25–40 pounds.
• Safety sensitive position.

Assist in the production of quality food products by performing the following duties as applicable to a specific task or department. Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Set-up/tear-down workstation & line as required; Receives chickens before entering the production area; Hangs live birds in the shackles in a humane manner; Rotate in position cycle as instructed; Sorts out DOA’s (Dead on Arrival’s) and leaves on belt; Understands Animal Welfare and regulatory requirements; Responsible for any and all directives set forth by Senior Management and maintains work area in a safe and sanitary manner. Production workers are required to stand for a period of time, walk, and reach with hands and/or arms. The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to25-40 POUNDS. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and extreme cold.
