Job summary

Pilgrim's in Sumter, SC, is seeking a Production Supervisor – Live Hang to lead daily live hang operations on the production floor, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency while meeting targets. You will train staff, organize crews, monitor equipment, and enforce health and safety rules, with shift work including 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; College Degree in related field preferred.
• Experience: 1+ year supervisory experience leading 20+ employees; poultry/food industry experience a plus.
• Skills: effective communication, independent decision making, basic computer knowledge, ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Shift willingness: 2nd shift in some cases.

Production Supervisor – Live Hang

In this key role, you'll serve as the frontline leader overseeing the daily live hang operations within our poultry production facility. You'll ensure production targets are met while maintaining high standards for safety, quality assurance, and efficiency. Based primarily on the production floor, you'll coordinate team duties, monitor equipment and workflow, and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations. The role also requires agility to respond to operational issues in real time, helping maintain a productive and well-functioning workplace. Must be willing to work 2nd shift!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

What You’ll Need

• Education: High School Diploma/GED; College Degree in related field preferred.
• Experience: 1 or more years of previous supervisory experience with leadership skills of 20+ employees preferred. Poultry or food industry experience is a plus.
• Skills: Effective communication both orally and in writing, capable of independent decision making, must have basic computer knowledge, ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
