Job summary

Oak View Group is seeking a friendly server to provide food and beverage service at The Dome Music Venue in Virginia Beach. You will greet guests, take orders, and process payments in a fast-paced event setting. This part-time role offers a $10/hour base, with tip eligibility and benefits like 401(k) options.

Responsibilities include serving, maintaining clean work areas, and ensuring safe alcohol service. Flexible schedule required, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in serving, bartending or hospitality preferred but not required.
• Must meet all state and local age requirements for serving alcohol.
• Ability to provide customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate with guests, coworkers, and management.
• Ability to handle cash, credit card transactions, and guest orders accurately.
• Must stand and walk for extended periods during events.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move items related to food and beverage service.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid alcohol compliance certification before scheduled events.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide customer service throughout the event.
• Take and enter food and beverage orders into the POS system.
• Serve food and beverages according to venue procedures.
• Process cash and card transactions accurately.
• Verify IDs and follow alcohol service requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of menu, pricing, and products.
• Restock supplies and keep areas clean and organized.
• Collaborate with bartenders, barbacks, kitchen staff and supervisors.
