Job summary

Legends Global in Lubbock, TX seeks a Production Manager to coordinate and implement all technical stage aspects for licensed facilities. You will manage electrics, audio, fly, crewing, logistics and preventive maintenance for shows and events.

The role leads a team of managers and coordinators, supervising budget, payroll, vendor charges, and safety compliance while coordinating with unions and event management for premier performances.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Theater with technical emphasis or professional equivalence.
• 3-year minimum experience working in a performing arts center/theater.
• Knowledge of operations, maintenance, and stage management.
• Working knowledge of applicable OSHA, state and other work environment and safety regulations.
• Working knowledge of fire and public safety issues.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with licensee all pre-performance technical requirements.
• Oversee load-ins, set ups, show runs and strikes for all shows including civic events, Broadway shows and tours.
• Coordinate backstage logistics for shows with the local Stage Employees Union representative.
• Prepare event information during back-of-house coordination with the event manager.
• Coordinate front-of-house details for specified events.
• Prepare and update the event estimate and client files with changes.
• Prepare and process stage employee union payroll.
• Process production vendor charges through purchasing; manage vendor relationships and payments.
• Supervise a preventative maintenance program for light, sound, and backstage equipment.
• Recommend capital purchases or improvements to Facility Director.
• Provide training and safe working conditions for stage employees per policy and OSHA rules.
• Serve as Event Manager on Duty when required.
