Job summary

Rock-It Cargo, a division of The Rock-It Company, is seeking an Operations Coordinator in Linden, NJ to coordinate domestic and international shipments by air and ocean for live performance projects. You will work with experienced operations professionals from booking through delivery.

The role requires strong organizational skills, flexibility for afterhours work, and a collaborative approach to support global teams and clients in the entertainment and sports industries.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, operations, customer service, events, or another time-sensitive environment is preferred, not required.
• Some familiarity with freight forwarding or air import/export is helpful.
• Strong organization and comfort managing multiple priorities.
• Basic Outlook and Excel skills, plus the ability to learn new systems.
• Flexibility for occasional overtime, weekends, on-call coverage, or project travel.

Responsibilities

• Research routes and book domestic and international shipments.
• Generate quotes and pricing for domestic and international shipments.
• Coordinate air, trucking, and ocean import/export moves.
• Prepare accurate transportation and export documents.
• Keep customers, carriers, warehouses, and global teams informed.
• Track shipments and act quickly when plans change.
• Maintain accurate files and build strong customer and vendor relationships.
