Greenleaf Hospitality Group in Myrtle Beach, SC is seeking a dependable Technical Assistant to support our in-house Audio-Visual team in a hotel setting. This entry-level, part-time role offers hands-on experience with live events, production, and AV technology.

You will assist with setup and teardown, move equipment, run cables, and help guests with simple AV tasks. No prior experience required; training provided.

Qualifications

• No prior professional AV experience required.
• Interested in live events, audio, lighting, or technical production.
• Part-time scheduling—evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Basic familiarity with computers, cables, and electronic equipment is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup, teardown, and basic operation of AV equipment.
• Support room resets and event transitions between meetings and live events.
• Move and secure equipment like speakers, lighting, stands, cables, and cases.
• Run cables neatly following direction from lead AV staff.
• Assist backstage and on-show floors during events.
• Troubleshoot basic AV issues with guidance.
• Help guests connect laptops, advance slides, or provide adapters.
• Learn how in-house AV systems integrate with portable gear.
• Keep storage areas clean and organized.
• Follow safety procedures at all times.
• Communicate clearly with team members.
• Be punctual and prepared for shifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
