Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Advanced level experience in carpentry, electronics, construction or other manual labor.
  • Ability to collaborate with others and follow instructions.
  • Extensive knowledge in concert stage rigging for high and ground riggers.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in setup and tear down of concerts, basketball and other events.
  • Build and disassemble truss, lighting, audio and scenic structures; run cables and deck work.
  • Maintain and repair stage equipment including lighting, sound, projection and curtains.
  • Operate stage equipment for events, private uses, and maintenance projects.
  • Design, hang, focus and operate theatrical lighting systems; run sound and projection equipment.
  • Maintain inventory of expendable supplies (lamps, tapes, filters, etc.).
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and University personnel.
  • Perform other related duties and assist in compliance with policies and procedures.
