Job summary

Grand Canyon University Inc. is seeking an on-site Production Supervisor to plan, coordinate, and execute live productions, athletic events, and campus events.

You will provide on-site supervision and technical leadership, assign production personnel, and ensure event requirements are met. You will assist with pre-production planning, set up and tear down, operate cameras, video switching, replay, graphics, and other production roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an Accredited College.
• Demonstrated experience with live events, broadcast, video, or Audio-Visual production.
• Familiarity with Ross production systems, particularly Carbonite and XPression, preferred.
• Ability to remain organized and make sound operational decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required.
• Must successfully pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist department leadership with planning, coordination, and execution of live productions, athletic events, and campus events.
• Provide on-site supervision and technical leadership for productions and ensure event requirements are met.
• Support pre-production planning by reviewing event requirements and coordinating with Event Coordinators.
• Set up, configure, operate, troubleshoot, and strike production equipment for live events.
• Perform production roles such as camera operation, video switching, replay, graphics, and related roles.
• Provide operational support for Ross production systems (Carbonite, XPression, replay systems).
• Coordinate with audio, lighting, video, broadcast, and event operations staff during events.
• Develop and implement production workflows, operating procedures, and standards.
• Train, mentor, and develop production personnel to improve knowledge and quality.
• Assist with maintenance and readiness of production equipment.
