Job summary

GRAND CANYON UNIVERSITY seeks a Cinematographer to lead camera operation for the Commercial Music Program. The role produces music videos, concerts, documentaries, and promotional content, and supports multi-camera broadcasts.

You will set up and operate a ten-camera broadcast center, mentor students, capture high-quality video and audio, and assist with editing and post-production workflows while maintaining gear and coordinating with faculty and marketing staff.

Qualifications

• Experience operating Sony FX3 cinema cameras.
• Proficiency with DaVinci Resolve & Adobe Creative Suite.
• Knowledge of professional camera operation, lighting, and composition.
• Experience with multi-camera live production workflows.
• Strong creative storytelling and visual communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead camera operator for music videos, concerts, documentaries, interviews, and promotional content.
• Set up and operate the program's ten-camera broadcast center for live productions and mentor other students.
• Capture high-quality video and audio for productions.
• Edit video projects and assist with post-production workflows.
• Maintain and organize camera equipment and production gear.
• Collaborate with faculty, students, and marketing staff on creative projects.
• Other duties as assigned.
