Job summary

The Freeman Company in Dallas, TX is seeking a Supervisor Operations to lead the operations team at show site and in the Branch Office, while controlling costs and upholding safety standards. This role will oversee daily operations, ensure high service levels, and uphold safety across the department.

You will train and supervise staff, coordinate with customers and vendors, schedule labor and equipment, ensure 100% customer satisfaction, and drive continuous safety improvements across the team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of supervisory experience.
• Two years of show site freight, decorating and/or I&D experience.
• Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
• Carpentry skills required.
• Working knowledge of workplace safety practices and OSHA requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to apply and uphold safety policies and contribute to a proactive safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise team members. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies and applicable laws.
• Plan, organize, and direct Operations Department activities to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
• Study production schedules, estimate team member hour requirements, and assign standby labor.
• Schedule area foreman and place labor calls.
• Schedule radios, scooters, scissor lifts, boom lifts, trailers, trucks, and forklifts as required.
• Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to team members, and assign duties.
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Lead operations team members in maintaining high morale and work standards and build teamwork.
• Maintain time and production reports.
• Estimate, requisition, and inspect all job-related materials.
• Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
• Prepare labor requirements and schedule move-in/move-out to minimize overtime.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA safety guidelines.
• Investigate workplace incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations.
