Job summary

Encore is seeking an Internet Services (IS) Manager to oversee and support wired and wireless networks at the Waldorf Astoria New York. The role focuses on delivering reliable IT services for live events, coordinating with venue leadership and regional IS management.

You will maintain equipment, configure networks, assist with event setup, provide technical sales support, and ensure excellent client service across installations in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Computer Science or commensurate experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in the hospitality industry in a technical role.
• 3+ years of field experience in internet services support.
• Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical buyers.
• Familiarity with Internet services, bandwidth, IP wired and wireless networks, webcasting.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support wired and wireless networks for live events.
• Monitor network infrastructure readiness and document layouts and diagrams.
• Coordinate with hotel IT and service providers to ensure high levels of service.
• Configure networks and submit changes to Network Operations Center as needed.
• Provide proactive technical support during events and post-event reporting.
• Lead training and support for local team members on Technical Sales and Network Management.
• Oversee equipment inventory and procurement for events.
• Assist with on-site technical sales and client communication.
