Job summary

HCLTech in Houston is seeking a live streaming infrastructure specialist to manage the client’s streaming ecosystem, including Teams Live Event, Stream Live Event, encoders, and eCDN platforms.

You will apply ITIL practices, troubleshoot incidents, and collaborate with client teams to design and deploy video conferencing solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Live Streaming infrastructure (Teams Live Event, Stream Live Event, encoders, production tools, eCDN).
• Knowledge of streaming protocols: HLS, DASH, RTMP, RTSP.
• Understand codecs and formats: MPEG-2, H.264/AVC.
• Experience with Streaming Media Servers and CDN/eCDN solutions (MS Stream/TLE, Hive, Kollective, Wowza).
• Troubleshoot A/V issues during Live Events.
• Understand Team Live events workflows.
• ITIL knowledge: SLA management and incident/change processes.
• Hands-on design and implementation of video conferencing solutions.
• Respond to client queries via calls, emails, or chat; diagnose root causes in dynamic environments.

Job description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for managing and maintaining the Live Streaming infrastructure of the client which includes Microsoft Live Event Platforms such as Teams Live Event and Stream Live Event, Hardware and Software Encoders, Production tools, eCDN platform etc.
• Knowledge of streaming media protocols; HLS/HDS (HTTP Live Streaming), DASH, RTMP, RTSP, etc.
• Working knowledge of Media Codec, formats, transport, and containers protocols such as MPEG2, H.264/AVC (Advance Video Codec), etc.
• Working knowledge of Streaming Media Servers and CDN/eCDN solutions like MS Stream/TLE and Hive/Kollective/Wowza.
• Troubleshooting of A/V issues during the Live Event.
• Understanding on Team live events.
• Knowledge on ITIL process like SLA management with detailed understanding on classification of (P1, P2, P3, P4) Incidents(tickets), Change management.
• Video conferencing solution in the environment. Implementation & support experience specifically in the area of Video Conferencing solution & ability to interact with the client teams to understand business requirement which will be both functional and technical. Desire to be hands-on and in the field designing and implementing the solution.
• Has the ability to answer support client calls, emails, or online chat regarding website troubleshooting, site updates, plugin updates, server or hosting issues, email creation and troubleshooting, etc. Assist with identifying the root cause of problems; manages and resolves issues in a constantly changing environment.

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
